In next few months from August 2009, BEST in association with Creative concept pvt ltd will be introducing a special ferry Duck bus which rides on roads as well as water and for trial will run between Gateway of India (Churchgate) till Colaba (South Mumbai) and the time taken by this ride will be approximately 20 minutes.

This new public service amazing bus will be running on experimental basis for sometime and will be open to public enjoyment after testing. The cost of ticket per person to ride will be about 100 to 150 rupees per trip. The speed of this duck bus is about 50 km/hr on road and about 10 kms/hr in sea. It is said that the idea of introducing duck bus in Mumbai came to committee from Toranto visit which cost about Rupees 1 crore.
