Why i Say it One Of The Worlds Biggest Mass Wedding ?
Now, till i heard of wedding in jain community which is called ‘Samuh Lagan’ which is like some 10 to 50 or little more couples getting ready as brides and grooms at one place called ‘Mandap in Hindi’, this wedding at Virar has broken all records in India and number rises to 1015 couples from all over Maharashtra, Raigad and Ratnagiri district getting married on 250 acers of land along with the main couple groom Mr.Kshitij Thakur (s/o Mr. Hitendra Thakur) former MLA of Virar Vasai Taluka with political party named ‘Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi‘.
The best thing to know is that couples are from all caste and community, be it Hindu, Muslim or any other. With rituals and method according to their own customs individually everyone is taken care and blessed. Also i can say its the day of blessing for Kshitij and family who celebrates and thanked each and every individual couple and staff member who made this event a success. The main couple and thakur family has good charity plans too, Every individual couple will get Gold Chain ‘Mangalsutra’ with 1 lac rupees. This is not all they are donating with open heart all the basic home requirements to start a married life and education cost for next two years for their future kids.. Now this is just awesome for all those poor and middle class who are also participating as couple in the wedding ceremony.
