  • Bhayander Creek | Bhayander River Bridge

Exactly Below lifeline of Mumbai Western Railway bridge between Naigaon and Bhayander lies the Creek of Bhayander (i.e Bhayander River/Nadi), well known as Bhayander ki khadi between Mumbaikers is a main creek with a small island with villagers staying in. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes in local train traveling over the creek to cross both of the adjacent creeks. Widely used during Ganesh visarjan at bhayander, this river is famous for fishing and sand business which villagers get from this creek. Exactly between lies a small village of few 100 houses who are the local fisherman of the creek. As the water is salty and connected to the Arabian sea, it of no use for daily needs and drinking. Sea face is now well known for hangout by localities because of the constructions of two news Railway bridges over the creeks.

This creek contains lots of Fish and Sand and is widely used to Throw the Flowers and other Stuff that is used after Pooja (Rituals) at home and colony which makes it bit dirty, but automatically taken care. One can also listen to the special sound coming from the creek when crossing the railway bridge.
