  • CST – Victoria Terminus (VT) – Mumbai


    CST was Formerly known as Victoria Terminus or VT and has been renamed with other locations of Mumbai (Bombay). It is one of the very important railway stations in town. Beautifully designed building by British Architect F.W.Stevens, with Indian creativity and architecture design.

    It is also said as a major business port and lots of Outstation trains arrive and depart from this place, it is located exactly opposite the Municipal Corporation Office and looks pretty at night with street lights on and so was nominated by UNESCO as one of the ‘World Heritage Sites’. It was named as Victoria Terminus in the name of a Queen called ‘Victoria’ which was later on Renamed by Political Party ‘Shiv Sena’ in 1996.

    One can reach here via Central Railway line as last station towards south or if coming via western Lines, one need to get down at churchgate station and hire a Taxi from there which takes about 10 minutes to reach.
