Haji Ali Mosque is a tomb at some 300 meters inside the Arabian sea connected to worli location of Mumbai and is a standing architecture in the name of saint ‘Peer Haji Ali Shah Bukhari (Also known as Hazrat Haji Ali)’ who was a Muslim sufi saint.

Nearest station to reach haji ali is ‘Mumbai Central’ which is a station in western railway route. At walking distance of 20 minutes and just 5 to 10 minutes in Taxi lies this famous place.

Built in 1431 by the saint as named of place,Its a old monument of Mumbai and a Holy place of worship for Muslims, Its is located between water, i.e all four ways surrounded by water. Haji Ali looks very beautiful in monsoon seasons. It is said that every week around 80,000 people visit this holi dargah of Mumbai and most crowd can be found on sundays. One need to walk from the main road till dargah which is at distance of about 350 meters streached and build on the water of arabian sea, So you might have got idea of this place being deep in center of the sea at this distance. One can see people selling agarbattis, flowers and green chaddar (bedsheet) exactly in extrance, This is a ritual and offering to saint haji ali. The real story of building this mosque has 2 different writups, One says that the saint was drowned in this location of sea and Other says that he built this dargah before living for mecca and upon his death his soul came back here. Haji ali is also one of the heritage of Mumbai city, A peaceful place to see the fast world from a distance.
