This Rail is famously known as Matheran Light Rail (MLR). From Road a person can take Private Vehicle via Panvel’s Mumbai Pune Highway (OR) via Railway Train.
It can take 3.5 hours from road ways and around 3 hours for railway travels (including the toy train travel).Route: Mumbai- Pune highway till Chauki via Panvel; state highway to Neral via Karjat junction and Chinchavali; hill road to Dasturi Naka in Matheran.
