Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum – Mumbai’s Formerly Victoria and Albert Museum

• Currently BMC (Bombay Municipal Corporation) owned Bhau Daji Museum is city’s oldest  and was opened to public in 1857.
• It was closed till 2008, when again reopened as The Indian National Trust of Art and Cultural Heritage took up the museum for restoration which is now supported by Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation in Mumbai.
• This museum hols student workshops in Hindi, Marathi and English language, which already has silvery and pottery collections since years. Workshops for school children to design clay pots in gardens was recently hold in February 2010.
• Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum is also working on heritage club, Online magazine for children etc.
