Biggest play ground in Virar – Vasai(bassein) location ‘Chimaji Appa Ground’ is located in Vasai Navghar Area inside the village at about 7 to 10 kilometers from station(west). It is exactly opposite ‘New English College’ next top Gymnasium and is very famous for its yearly Vasai Taluka Kala Krida Mahotsav(Festival) Where most of the sports person from location of Virar, Nalasopara, Vasai, Naigaon and Bhayander etc comes together for competitions in sports like reaching, Long jump, Kho-kho, Kabbadi, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Boxing, Rangoli Competition, Sugam Sangit, Oratory, Mehndi, Drama, Painting and Body Building Competition.

One of the most liked and attractive part of this competition on Chimaji appa ground is Body Building where all machos comes together for posing competition to show their builds and gets the Vasai Shri Title.

This Mahotsav last for about 3 to 4 days with 31st of December as the Prime day where people around the location get together have lots of fun playing and competing in all this games and See the award winning celebration and Function with Fire works and Lighting celebrating the win. Few of the well known People in Taluka Comes here as chief guest and supports the function every year.
