Among few only waterfalls in thane, Chinchoti Waterfall in Vasai near Tungareshwar are best during monsoons.

Located few kilometers from Vasai Highway between green forest area of vasai lies a beautiful spot call Chinchoti which is an ideal place for one day picnic and adventure. Main attraction of this place is Couple of small big waterfalls with pure water surrounded by dense forest and greenery of Mumbai. This location is around 40 to 50 kilometers from proper Bombay and bit unsafe in late evening as it is surrounded by forest and couple of times wild animals like leopards etc are seen around, so one needs to take care and not stay beyond the timings like 6:00 PM at this place. Otherwise its a very nice place to be seen, now a days security People and police can be seen around on duty.

One needs to walk for about half an hour in muddy and round spaded stones lying on the way between sweet little flowing streams to reach the main waterfall, its a different kind of experience one can feel being with such pure form of nature. Also Everyone should read and understand the sign boards and Warning boards on the way for TODO and NOT TODO when is the area.

One of the Corners inside the small pond of waterfall is dangerous as it has a deep hole which cannot be seen and which looks all the same level as one plays inside, so better be careful. Colorful birds, Small reptiles, Monkeys etc and soothing noise of trees and Leafs make your day here.

One coming with there private vehicle needs to reach vasai highway (Vasai Phata) and others can reach here from Vasai Station (West), were one can find share Auto Rickshaws around 10 to 15 rupees per head or alternately get a special auto which drops you till the entry lane (Naka).
