LPG Gas Subsidy Mumbai – 2021 PAHAL DBTL Scheme LPG Subsidy

1st January 2015 finally got PAHAL scheme for LPG gas subsidy around 16 crores Indian in 291 districts. Under this Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG consumer (DBTL) scheme which was active in all 54 districts of India since 2014.

HP Cooking Gas customers get a subsidy (Discounted rates) on every cylinder of gas (Maximum total of 9 cylinders yearly) they purchase regularly, you will pay the MRP amount to HP for your gas, and LPG subsidy will be deposited to the gas owners bank account.

Every domestic gas consumer needs to link their Aadhaar card along with bank details to the local HP LPG gas center to get this benefit. This DBTL subsidy was available now in a total of 51 districts extended to 54 districts of India by 15th November 2014, And Mumbai being in Maharashtra is one of them.

Step by step process on how to link and use your Aadhaar card to your bank account and forms to fill and submit to the nearest LPG center in Mumbai is given below. Also, process and guide for those not having Aadhar card. Kindly note that the below process is what currently followed and practically done, So here I am sharing the linking process as my personal experience.

LPG Subsidy Process and Requirements

UPDATES December 2015 : Starting January 2016, Subsidy for Home Gas (HP & Other LPG gas) is not possible for income group above 10 lakhs. That means if your gross taxable salary is Rs. 10,00000 or above, You are no more eligible to take these subsidy benefits around India at any LPG dealers/gas provider.

Kindly note this process is global to India and not restricted to Mumbai city only.

• Main Owner on whose name Gas account operates should have a Bank Account.
• He requires Aadhar card, But if one have applied but still didn’t got their Aadhaar can also avail LPG subsidy (Discounts) benefits (Process listed below).
• If you are new and first timer to buy LPG cylinder, You will get a One time permanent advance in your bank account.
• Every LPG cylinder (HP, Indane or Bharat Gas) has their own requirements, entitled to get subsidy directly credited in bank account.
• If you have still not joined the subsidy scheme, you will still get subsidized priced cylinders between dates 15th November 2014 and 14th February 2015, After which market price (Regular Non-Subsidized) will be charged for next 3 months and the balanced subsidy amount on same will be credited to bank if that person enrolls the scheme in next 3 months i.e by 14th of May 2015, else you lose the benefits.
• Continuing the above, from 15th of April 2015 those who have not registered by filing form for scheme and done the required process for getting LPG DBTL subsidy will get a one time permanent advance and subsidy will be given from date of joining. But till then the Gas cylinders will be given on Market price.

Getting DBTL Subsidy WITH Aadhaar Card

2. The very first requirement is to Link your Aadhar Card Number to LPG Owners bank account by filling this FORM and submit it to your Bank OR LPG Distributors Offices. For HP Gas owners we already detailed.
3. Again Link / Register your Aadhaar number with your Consumer Number (For any LPG gas you own) by filling SECOND FORM OR by calling the call centre number 1800-2333-555 which i suppose is a toll free number. OR Doing a online registration OR By Filling the SECOND FORM (See above line link) and sending it via post to the respected address mentioned inside. OR Registration can also be done via IVRS and SMS (See Below Image).

Getting DBTL Subsidy Without Aadhaar Card

Method 1

1. Submit your bank account details to LPG distributor, But before that check this list of banks below which supports this scheme. Else you need to open an account in the listed bank. Most of the banks are covered here.
2. You can also fill this Non-Aadhaar Form and submit to LPG distributor OR Directly Goto www.mylpg.in to do the same.
