Best Diwali Shopping Places

Electrical like Lighting and Lantern (Kandil, Toran etc) : Lohar chawl is the best market place in South Mumbai to get varieties of decorative and stylish lighting that will enlighten your home this Diwali.

Kandils (Lantern) and those Chinese series of mini LED bulbs called ‘Toran’ in Hindi. Lohar Chawl is a small market with multiple connecting lanes located very near opposite Crawford market at (Marine Lines). It has many small and big electronic shops that sells major varieties of electrical and electronic products at wholesale / reasonable price for all season. Festivals like Diwali being one of the special for lightings, Observes more footfalls at this place just prior 15 to 20 days. Bargain is possible at most of the shops, But not like those done at street shopping locations like fashion street and linking road.

Another place to list for Diwali shopping is Dadar west market near stations famous Kabutar khana area. As this is major a street market and few electronic shops too, One can find good deals on lighting products like LED Series (Toran). This is also an excellent place for fresh flowers sold in Kilogram price. See Dadar flower market video for same.

For every Hindu festival like Navratri and Diwali, Bhuleshwar market place in South Mumbai should also be consider worth visiting as many Miscellaneous products related to Diwali which are required for all 5 to 7 days will be available at one place here.

Diwali Sweets Special : If you are one who likes the Gujarati & Jain special sweet called ‘Mohan Thal’, than many Jain derasars (temples) around Mumbai are best to get that sweet dish from. Famous brands packed mithai (Sweets) are centrally available at major markets like Crawford Market.

Famous Mumbai Suburban like Malad has MM Mithaiwala opposite railway station, Aadharsh Sweets in south Mumbai, Panshikar at Dadar and many more around Mumbai’s Food and Grocery giants like Hypercity, Big Bazaar, DMart and more.

Diwali Gift Items : If you want a hassle free shopping place to get your Diwali gifts for your near and dears or may be also for Corporate gifting, Just head towards famous Mega Stores & Super Markets like Big Bazaar, Hyper City (Malad Goregaon Link Road), DMart for best Shopping experience at very reasonable prices.

Purchase a single gift item or in bulk, It will sure be at best price with facilities like gift packing etc. Be it Sweets, Chocolates, Dry Fruits or anything else, these places are best festival shopping places in city. By the way, if you ask me what should we gift during Diwali ? then my answer will be Chocolates or Dry Fruit Boxes, as very few packed sweets like Haldiram’s are ideal as quality and freshness matters much.

Sweets are not bad for gifting but as one knows when their is a sudden huge demand for these 10 days, the quality may be compromised in milk and related products like sugar etc used in making sweets. Dry Fruits and Chocolates are liked by many and they do prefer such packs as sweet is very common and is received in bulk during Diwali seasons by neighbours and relatives. If sweets like Kaju katli or such is what you don’t want to compromise on with quality, Better head to famous or your known shops, taste the sample and then only get it packed.

Crackers : It is in fact a huge waste of money with equally addition on air and sound pollution, Still if kids still wants to have fun of Crackers head to South Mumbai’s famous Mohammed Ali Road, which is also a wholesale cracker market in Mumbai.

But that’s useful for those who do not travel by Local trains as travelling with any kind of explosives in local train is punishable. Although with no options left, Many do take risk and get a bag or so full of crackers and travel by local train for personal use or majorly business. It is preferred to smoke the hard earned money by paying little more and purchasing from the local cracker stalls in your location.

IMPORTANT !! Hey, I am one of you Mumbaikar, Truly Indian and i request you to boycott Chinese Crackers and other Goods.

More clothings market places are at Dadar (East & West), Bhuleshwar and Kalbadevi area in south Mumbai location for Saree and dresses.

Chopda Poojan (Puja) Material : Head to Princess street (Marine Lines) which is the most preferred and ideal place for all type of Chopda Puja Materials and also for other book, paper and related products. Most of the retailers purchase in bulk from this location and sell it at their local retail shops. HelloI'm here to say that many times bus 375 from Bandra station heading to shivaji nagar are not on time...more often they are delayed or cancelled.I keep waiting for it for 15-30min still the bus doesn't come.Today also I waited for 30min still the bus is not on stop.Plz Either change the bus schedule frequency which is shown on Google currently or make the bus come on time so that passangers will act as per convenience.

I visited the website in search for some specific bus routes and timings in Mumbai. I found them all. Well as far as I have used the website, it is pretty good for people to get information at one one place rather than browsing the internet for long hours.
