Shilpgram Village and Garden Attractions

Shilpgram will be the first and the only village with gardens and other attractions covering 12 acres of land at Majas village located near Jogeshwari Buddhist Cave adjacent to JVLR (Andheri East). It is a huge green vertical and landscape garden with multiple sections, each showcasing country culture and tradition in the form of art, crafts, Dance, and Water fountain shows. An ideal location for Art Craft lovers of Mumbai and tourists primarily.

  • Water Fountains: This section inside Shilpgram is sure to be getting major attention and will be the center of attraction where more than one water fountain is seen. A specialty of these fountains is that they will be taking shapes of famous monuments and heritage structures of Mumbai and around India, Which will be a mesmerizing view when enlightened and glowing. A water show with water in a fountain taking shapes of the various edifice and other structures with glittering visuals.
  • Shops: Yes, there will be shops from where you can purchase purely hand-made traditional artifacts which are made of Wooden, Stone, Glass, Metal, and also a few terracotta products.
  • Pot making for visitors: If you are curious about exploring clay and pot making, There will a separate area mostly in the center location of this village to explore and get a real feel of pot making.
  • Amphitheatres: About 3 Amphitheatres will be seen inside, of which one will be a water fountain Amphi.
  • Gardens: This will not be like the usual garden as seen around, Like the famous Hanging garden of Mumbai and others. Sure, there will be a flower garden, but this one is different. There are huge flat landscapes and vertical steep gardens, a beautiful glance with specially adjusted contour rocks that will make every spectator wow the creations.
  • Live Shows: Inside this village, One can also enjoy various cultural & traditional dance and puppet shows, Especially dance forms from the south of India.

Weekly Closed: Every Wednesday. Otherwise, All days open.
Public visiting timings: 6:00 Am to 10:00 Am, 4Pm to 8Pm.
Photography & Videography Charges: Photography Rs.100 Extra & Videography Rs.300 Extra. (No Details about Mobile Photos or DSLR cameras given).

Entry Fees & Monthly Pass Charges as started from ‘1st March 2019’ are as:

  • Age above 12 Years: Rs.25 Per Person.
  • Age between 3 to 12 years: Rs.5 Per Person.
  • Family of 4 (2 Adults & 2 Kids age 3 to 12 years): Rs.25 (Individual Charges as per age detailed above).
  • For all Government Schools (BMC Schools): Free Of Cost.
  • Other Private Schools: Rs.5 Per Children (Prior Appointment Required).
  • Monthly Pass (For Morning Visits Only): Rs.150.

How to Reach Shilpgram Cultural Village

By Local Train : Nearest Railway station is Jogeshwari East (Western Railway Route). It may take anything between 20 minutes to Half an hour from the station depending on traffic. Head towards National Highway that connects Balasaheb Thackeray Flyover to JVLR. The location will be on the right side. One can also reach from Andheri East or Ghatkopar West via Auto or other modes like BEST buses, Cabs.
By Mumbai Metro Train: Metro Line 7 runs between Dahisar East and Andheri (Western Express Highway). Get down at Jogeshwari Highway JVLR Junction. From here it is very near, Get an auto which hardly takes 5 minutes till entry gate.
Car Parking: Ample car parking facilities are available for private cars and tourist buses (Volvo etc).
