“It was expected that by December 2018 Phase 1 of total 3 ferry service routes of Multi-Corridor Inland Water Transport System (ITW) by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is expected to be ready. An pollution free eco-friendly, less crowded, fuel saving, faster and cheaper ferry ride from Thane as centre point will connect Kalyan to Vasai.
Similarly in Phase 2 & 3 Water routes from Thane (Saket) to Gateway of India (Mumbai) and CBD Belapur sector 11 (Navi Mumbai) will go ahead. Below are Routes from Kalyan to Vasai with fares (Rs.) and more details on other upcoming water ferry routes in Mumbai and Metropolitan Regions..”

Kalyan Thane Vasai Ferry Service Routes & Fares
This will be the very first ferry route (National Waterway 53) in Mumbai Metropolitan Area of the total 3 Phase project with Thane city at centre point of connectivity. Thane creek has already gained attention with the beautiful exploration of Flamingo Sanctuary connects Arabian sea towards South Mumbai and Ulhas river (Vasai Creek) on other side connecting Kalyan to Thane and Vasai creek.
With Vasai ferry services on place, The usual 2 hour journey time with alternate Rail / Road route from Kalyan is expected to reduce to 65 – 70 Minutes, That too in a cheaper and pollution free way costing maximum Rs.29 (See Fare chart below for other jetty stops / stations and their fares). A nominal increase in fares is expected every 3 years. Below are the routes and fares for this ferry rides as declared public via news media.

3 New Jetties planned to be developed on this route at Kolshet, Parsik, Nagla. Kolshet will be a major hub.

Thane Mumbai and Navi Ferry Service
With further development with Phase 2 & 3 in progress soon, Tentative routes are also planned. Thane creek will be a centre location for this water route and possibly flamingo sanctuary will get some boost due to the footfall in water space of Thane creek connecting Navi Mumbai.
More details will be added as and when received or when ferry services are operational to Mumbai and Navi commuters. As of now, Kalyan to Thane to Vasai has got a 100% go ahead and these 2 are at Detailed Project Report Stage by Thane Municipal Corporation. Below are expected routes as declared in major news media.
