Juhu Beach Revamp

Renovating and beautifying the beach has been in the news since 2016, and one of the most needed things as per beach security was to give ample light in the dark, which has really been missing for years. In 2019, the Municipal Corporation took up the task and finally finished installing new bright lamp posts (lighting pillars).

Juhu Beach is one of the few beaches in Mumbai Suburban that is brighter and more beautiful with shiny lights. It now looks more beautiful and secure in the evening and late nights for visitors. There are also a few Projectors installed that display positive quotes and social messages for citizens along the beachfront. These pathway lights and a few main pole lights are part of the new renovation and attractions of the famous beach of Andheri.

With the beach revamp, the multi-entry points of this beach will also get new looks. About 8 such entries are now seen with bollards, ramps, railings, more focus lights and welcome signs. It is a very good idea for such a famous place to boost tourism internationally.

The facelift at the entry point targets beautifying looks and comfort for citizens, as well as senior citizens, with installed ramps and railings. The beach now welcomes everyone in 2020 with cleaner and more beautifying looks.

Which means Juhu Beach initially had very limited eateries (Street Food Options), which were Bhel Puri, Pani Puri, and Ice Candy (The old style).

As of now, i.e year 2020, This beach is world wide famous for its food zone and varieties of street food and chaats, Some of them to be listed are Pani puri, Baraf Gola (ice candy kind), Chana masala, Biryani Pulav and lots more for those junk food lovers. Next, this beach is a heartfelt favourite of kids for all the fun in the sand.

Car parking is a small challenge at this place, Yet a parking location is available right in front of the beach. During weekends, One might need to wait and spend some time hunting for parking spaces.

This is one beach in Mumbai’s suburb of Andheri that has all it takes to enjoy and spend some great time, like food and eateries, A safe seashore, a beautiful sunset view, coconut trees for shade, and most importantly, easy travel options to reach this place from Andheri Station and other corners of Mumbai city.

Reaching the Beach

The nearest railway station to reach this beach is Andheri (West Side), on the western railway route of Mumbai. Buses, autos, and Cool cabs are available from the railway station.

Alternately, this beach is also connected via Santacruz. Buses also run from other Suburban stations, like Borivali, etc.
