First, Lets understand a little bit about this location more deeper, with all the famous hotspots and stuff happening in Bandra (See Area Guide). Bandra Fair

On September 8, every year the famous Bandra fair is held for 10 days at Mount merry church in west constructed by the Portuguese. A fisherman got a dream of an idol floating in sea water and later found same happening in real. Since then about 30 decades now, in the name of Mother Merry of Jesus this celebration is done and for all 10 days this fair remains.

Fun and fair, Wax idols, toys and crowd is what you can find throughout this festive season. Major crowd being attached and involved is Christians from Mumbai, and Bandra is one of the first known suburbs by Christian community in city. The growing crowd of pilgrims has raised some issues recently as the residents around complaint for inconvenience caused for all this 10 days of fair. But neither this fair going to stop nor do fun and crowd mobbing all those festive days.

Annual Bandra Festival

Since last 5 years, People and communities in bandra is celebrating the famous called ‘Bandra Festival’ . From social cause message to attracting art works these festival by local residents has gain good response. Every year during this few days of festival lots of bollywood celebrities gets involved which helps the organizers keep up the momentum.

Shopping at Bandra Linking Road

Bandra will look boring without Linking road, the street side fashion hub just like fashion street at M G Road near Churchgate.  When you have a look at the sellers on this road, you will understand why i say so, More excited to sell the trendy ladies accessories, bag lines, Shoes etc, this is one of the places opposite national college to hangout and spend some time shopping. About 30 to 40 street side shops opened every morning till late evening, and yes if you are hungry the the famous KFC and McDonalds  of Bandra linking is always their fill your tummy.

For those foodies and accessories lovers, this road should be on top priorities to visit. Linking road also has couple of malls and branded showrooms and along side is the very famous Shoppers Stop to get cool during summer shopping inside. Hangout on this road little more and check sightseeing to get some old Mumbai glimpses with Bandra Talao, Parsi Colony, Small BMC Garden etc. Connected to Linking road is the S V Road which has Movie time suburbia cinema and G7 multiplex that has Gaiety Galaxy Cinema Halls, if you want to relax seeing movies.

Hill Road Bandra

Another Shopping hotspot of Mumbai, Hill Road in Bandra west is one more place to chill out and do lots of shopping. It has Shopping malls like reliance trends and street shopping options with famous Alco market to eat famous ‘Pani Puri’. Hill road has other old attractions of Bandra like churches, bakeries and old gaothans . And now once you are done with the shopping and eating places here, just ahead is the famous carter road, might have heard of residence of famous Bollywood actors like Salman khan and Shahrukh khan’s Mannat right ??.

Bandra Bandstand and Carter Road Lovers Point

No it is not me alone saying Bandstand is famous for lovers point, Every citizen knows about  it. Bandstand is famous for couple of things like sea facing Galaxy Apartment where our handsome hunk Salman Khan resides and just walk couple of minutes and the famous Mannat bungalow of Shahrukh Khan is seen from road. For now checkout the video showing salman home and the fans waiting outside to get a glance.

Similarly, not so far is Carter road, Another promenade in Bandra, Known for residence of Bollywood stars, TV actors at near Joggers park, Perry Road, Pali Hill area all near around.

Also have a look at Bandra fort, a beautiful place just adjacent with a lovers spot heaven

Another reason to write about bandstand is the famous Taj hotel of Bandra, which shines high facing the rocky sea of bandra and the old fort which is now and was Lovers point of Mumbai. Come is morning, afternoon or late evening, couples are all around to enjoy the sea wind arms in arms, keeping no space in between to enjoy bandstand sunset. The rocky shore is ideal for shy couples to spend some good time.

For those not interesting spending time on sea, Father Agnel ashram (Church Shrine) is well known and peaceful location to visit. Spend some time their and feel old Mumbai again.

Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC)

A famous commercial location of Mumbai Suburb, BKC is well planned commercial which has all major corporates, banks head offices. Since the south Mumbai is more expensive and Andheri Seepz and MIDC locations has more traffic, Bandra Kurla Complex emerged as new commercial hub of Mumbai with more open space in cheaper cost. But now, any rental or owned commercial property here will not spare your pocket anymore.

BKC is famous for its Ground for events and the newly Diamond Market, a beautifully made shining attraction. Their is nothing more then commercial offices, huge open grounds for celebrating events and seminars here. read more about BKC.

Joggers park is a beautiful sea facing park specially for spending leisure time, getting scenic sunset view, cool sea breeze and a dedicated Jogging track. People comes here with kids and elderly to spend some good time in evening.

Another scenic location at Bandra West. This location is beautifully developed with flora and fauna just aside road. A place to relax sit and enjoy some moments with your beloved once. This is another famous lovers point locations that is connected to bandstand. To enjoy the beautiful view of bandra worli sea link and the sunset again, this is an ideal location to hangout.

Talking about reclamation, One must be excited to know about Mumbai’s first floating hotel at Reclamation area.
